Jayden's farewell went well. There were lots of friends and family who came out to support him. He was nervous for his talk, but he did very well and even had the congregation laughing a few times. My little boy has grown into a confident young man. We had extended family in town, so there was an army of people helping to prepare food, which we had a LOT of. He appreciates all the support and gifts; it will help him tremendously on his mission.
There's been a change of plans in regard to Jayden's MTC experience. Because his Ethiopian visa has been delayed, he will be going to the Provo MTC instead of the South African MTC. He'll be set apart as a missionary Tuesday night, and report on Wednesday, the 21st of August (2013). It's a little disappointing because it would have been such a unique experience, but he is SO excited to go.
The day is getting closer and I (mom) am getting much more emotional, and Jayden is getting more anxious and pumped.
